Divine Mercy Novena — Begins today on Good Friday and ends on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19 (below is a link to receive information about Divine Mercy and to pray along for the next 9 days)
On March 19, The Solemnity of St. Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I celebrated mass publically before public masses were suspended because of Covid-19. At that mass I entrusted all of us to St. Joseph the Patron of the Church and guardian of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, asking him to watch over the Church, the Body of Christ and to protect and guard all of our hearts. A candle continues to burn in front of the statue of St. Joseph. On May 1 the Church celebrates the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. That is nine days from today and there is a beautiful novena to St. Joseph. I invite you to pray this novena to St. Joseph’s for continued protection over us with an additional intention for those who have lost their jobs, have been furloughed or are experiencing financial stress.
